ASWD Track and Field athletes shines in 2019
Mire Reinstorf, led the way with two ASA National titles in 2019. She won the 2019 Twizza ASA U18 pole vault title with 3.60m in Paarl. At the Sizwe 3Sixty ASA Senior Championships, she also won the senior gold medal and improved her height to 3.80m. At the end of the 2019 season that height places her in combined 52nd position on the 2019 IAAF Outdoor World Ranking list for girls U18.
ASWD continued the tradition of race walking excellence with Nolene van Rensburg winning the GU20 10km walk with a time of 54:49.89. Anel Oosthuizen then took the gold medal in the 20km walk for Seniors in Germiston. Nolene’s time on the 10km walk ranked her 122nd in the world for 2019.
